Commission Fee Simulator
Commission fees are a percentage of what you charge to the client the first year of your collaboration (media excluded). Here is a simulator helping you to estimate those fees.
We are here to help.
Do I have to sign a contract?keyboard_arrow_down
What types of payment do you accept?keyboard_arrow_down
We accept Visa, MasterCard and PayPal. Contact us for more information.
Do you charge VAT?keyboard_arrow_down
Only for EU customers: According to new European laws, companies are now required to charge VAT on digital and electronic services according to the country of each customer. This means that starting on 1 January 2015, instead of adding the standard Belgian VAT (21%) to the invoices of European customers for whom we don't have VAT numbers on file, we'll add the local VAT rate in your country. We are still required to charge VAT to ALL of our clients based in Belgium.
Do I get an invoice?keyboard_arrow_down
Of course. You will receive your invoice by email.
What’s a commission fee?keyboard_arrow_down
The commission fee (or Finder’s Fee, Success Fee, etc.) is a common practice used in the Marketing and Advertising industry to remunerate someone that brings new business to an agency. The average Commission Fee practiced in the industry ranges from 5% to 20% (average of 12%), making our rates below the industry standards. The final rate depends on the budget of the client and the current plan of the agency.
How and when is the commission fee calculated?keyboard_arrow_down
The commission fee is a percentage of the amount you bill to the client on the first year of collaboration, media spendings excluded.
If you manage to convert the opportunity into a client:
- You send us all the invoice(s) generated during the first 12 months of collaboration,
- Based on your Membership plan, the commission fee(s) is automatically calculated,
- You get notified of the amount of the commission fee(s) and you’ll receive an invoice and payment instructions,
- You pay the commission fee within 15 days.
Why is the commission system win-win and risk-free?keyboard_arrow_down
Because you only pay if you win a client. That’s pretty fair! You have no risk and your success is linked to our success. We’ll therefore make all the efforts to constantly enhance our services and to be sure you reach the sky.
Why should I subscribe to a plan?keyboard_arrow_down
We think that the privilege to be part of the community, to get showcased on our public pages and to access our deal flow should be reserved to the agencies that we know and that we totally trust. Subscribing to a plan is the first step into establishing a long-term win-win relationship with Sortlist.
How should I invoice the client if I win?keyboard_arrow_down
You invoice the normal way, outside of Sortlist. Sortlist doesn't intermediate in the negotiation and agreement terms between you and your clients, *nor* in the invoices and transactions generated for your clients. This is why in no case you can charge our commission to them in any of the invoices or offers you create.
Do you have preferential rates for starters?keyboard_arrow_down
Yes, you can contact us through the chat on the bottom right corner of the page.
