Description BRAND STRATEGY
PKG takes a thoughtful and strategic approach to establishing a brand's positioning in the market. Here is a general overview of our methodology for developing a brand strategy:
1. Research and Analysis:
PKG conducts thorough research and analysis. This includes understanding the target market, competition, industry trends, and consumers' needs and preferences. The research helps identify opportunities and challenges for the brand in the market.
2. Define Brand Purpose and Values:
PKG defines the brand's purpose and unique values. This involves determining the brand's mission, vision, brand promise, and key differentiators that set it apart from its competitors. These elements will guide and inform the brand strategy and messaging.
3. Identify Target Audience:
Based on the research and brand purpose, the target audience is identified. This includes understanding their demographics, behaviors, and motivations to create a brand that will resonate with them.
4. Develop Brand Messaging and Positioning:
The brand messaging and positioning involves creating a clear and compelling message that communicates the brand's unique value proposition to the target audience. This message will align with the brand's purpose and values and resonate with the target market.
5. Design Brand Visual Identity, (if needed)
The visual identity of a brand plays a crucial role in its perception and recognition. It involves creating a logo, selecting brand colors, typography, and imagery that align with the brand's messaging and positioning. The visual identity should be consistent across all touchpoints and resonate with the target audience.
6. Implement Brand Strategy, (if needed):
Once the brand strategy is defined, it needs to be implemented across all channels and touchpoints. This includes branding and packaging materials, website and social media, marketing campaigns, and customer experiences.
7. Monitor and Evaluate:
The last step is to regularly monitor and evaluate the brand strategy's effectiveness and make necessary adjustments as the market evolves.Skills in Branding & Positioning (5) Brand StrategyBrand ConsultingBrand StorytellingBrand GuidelinesBrand PositioningWork in Branding & Positioning (1) Client in Branding & Positioning (1) CPG ClientsFood

Similar to creating a logo design, PKG's methodology for creating a package design involves several steps and processes, including research, concept development, and refinement:
1. Research and Analysis:
PKG first gains an understanding of the product, brand, and target audience. This includes researching the competition, understanding the brand values and mission, and analyzing the target market. The research will also include understanding the product's unique selling points, target market, and packaging regulations.
2. Concept Development:
Based on the research, PKG creates multiple design concepts for the package design. These initial concepts may include different shapes, sizes, materials, and visual elements. The goal is to explore a range of options that accurately represents the product and appeals to the target audience.
3. Iteration:
Using the initial concepts as a starting point, PKG begins to explore different ideas and variations for the package design. This process involves multiple rounds of iteration and refinement, we work to create a visually appealing and functional packaging solution.
4. Digital Mock-ups:
Once the sketches are finalized, PKG creates digital mock-ups of the package designs. This step allows for a more accurate and detailed presentation of the designs and how it will look in real life.
5. Feedback and Revisions:
The digital mock-ups are then presented to the client for feedback and revisions.
6. Test with Consumers:
PKG conducts eye-tracking and qualitative testing to validate the designs. We may need to make multiple adjustments and revisions based on the both the consumers' and client's feedback until the package design meets their satisfaction.
6. Finalization and Delivery:
Once the package design is approved, the final files are prepared and delivered to the client. The final package design will be well-crafted, visually appealing, and accurately represent the product and brand.Skills in Packaging (5) Creative PackagingPackaging DesignProduct PackagingFood PackagingNon-food PackagingWork in Packaging (1) Review in Packaging (1) Paula SteenstraClient in Packaging (1) CPG ClientsFood

We needed an update to our full [lineup] for Hillshire Farm, [a] national brand that participates in several categories. PKG provided a great range of designs that were on target. The final design had great success in the marketplacereally moving the needle on our brand[']s modernity and helping maintain its leadership in the category. But what really sets PKG apart from the rest are the people. A true partnership... I always considered them an extension of our team.
