Re-launch of Midway MetalsMarch 2018
Re-launch of Midway Metals
Midway Metals is a manufacturer of custom stainless steel components, primarily for the marine(yacht) industry. Crunchy Frog was commissioned to help re-brand Midway to support its next phase of growth.
Based on desk research, interviews and a workshop, we recommended a change of name and a new brand strategy, around the concept of “On your side”. This recognised the importance of partnerships to both Midway and its customers.
The identity system was developed to reflect both the product and the idea of trust and collaboration. New boilerplate copy was written and photography commissioned to support the re-brand. The identity was applied across a brochure, stationery, process document and the website, and captured in a brand guidelines document.

Idemitsu Q8 (IQ8) is a joint venture formed between Japan’s Idemitsu company and Q8 from Kuwait to introduce the first foreign invested service stations to Vietnam.
Crunchy Frog worked with IQ8 to develop a brand identity that complemented the combined IQ8 logo. We developed a system that incorporated the three brand colours and that could be applied across a wide range of equipment and communications, including service station canopies, petrol pumps, signage and stationery.
The output was a brand manual that provided clear guidance for internal and external parties to use when applying the identity in order to ensure consistency and brand building. We also developed a launch website.

Re-brand for international school
United Nations International School (UNIS) Hanoi is one of the best known and regarded international schools in Hanoi but its visual identity was dated and inconsistently applied. There were also issues with consistency in reproduction.
We were commissioned to work on design and application of a new identity. The extensive and thorough programme of work included workshops with staff, parents and students to better understand the essence of the UNIS Hanoi brand and opinion about the existing brand identity; an audit of existing communications materials; design and application of a new identity; creation of a brand guidelines document; print production consultancy; and a tweak to the well-established logo.

Packaging and POS for new beer brand
7 Bridges Brewery is a new craft brewery based in Danang, central Vietnam. The name “7 Bridges” derives from the seven bridges that span the river in the city and, to follow the theme, each of the beer varieties will be named after a bridge.
After successfully delivering an impactful logo for pre-launch activities, we next developed pack designs and marketing collateral for the launch range of six bottled beers. The design was inspired by Art Deco and Vietnamese propaganda posters, and each label features a bridge illustration with colours, background and supporting graphics reinforcing the name and personality of each beer.
We also designed a table top leaflet, coasters, banners and a website (note the website has been damaged by the client so does not reflect our original work).

New website for interior design company
Khong Gian Moi (KGM) is an interior design company and furniture manufacturer based in Hanoi, with a specialism in hospitality. Their old website had functionality issues and did not include useful content. In addition, the design was not premium and not suitable for targeting the higher end hospitality businesses that they wanted to work with. Crunchy Frog was commissioned to design and build a new site that had premium design values and helped them stand out from the competition. The resulting dual-language site uses colour, photography and structure to best advantage and includes more useful information about KGM and its work.
