A major automotive manufacturer enlisted our Germany-based UX agency to redesign the digital instrument cluster used within its premium vehicle models. This display sits at the intersection of critical real-time information delivery (speed, navigation, ADAS warnings) and brand expression. Our mission: design a modular, customizable experience layer that supports day-to-night shifts, contextual alerts, and integration with advanced driver assistance systems.This was not merely a design update—it was a mission-critical, regulated interface engineered to support global drivers across diverse conditions. We needed:Multi-stakeholder governance across engineering, safety, legal, and brand teams,Multi-platform consistency, as the cluster interacts with head-up display (HUD), in-dashboard infotainment, and mobile companion apps,Deep integration with legacy CAN bus data, sensor arrays, and embedded vehicle operating systems,Design system scale to accommodate model variants, multiple languages, and upgrade paths over a product lifecycle spanning years.Drawing on Germany's reputation for precision engineering and ergonomic excellence, we co-developed a robust design system and governance model that ensured clarity, safety, and a distinctive brand experience across the OEM’s entire vehicle lineup.

Outboard engine interface

Our UK-based UX agency was engaged by a leading medical research institute to redesign their flagship data analysis and visualization platform, used to explore one of the country’s largest healthcare datasets. The goal: enable epidemiologists, clinicians, and policymakers to derive new insights, draw causal links, and support public health decision-making.The task spanned multiple UX complexity dimensions:Multi-stakeholder governance, balancing the needs of researchers, data scientists, IT admins, and ethics boards.Mission-critical reliability, as insights from the system influence public health interventions.Integration depth, with connectors to EMR databases, anonymized patient registries, and statistical modeling tools.Design system scale, supporting dashboards, query builders, interactive visualizations, and export tools across evolving use cases.Our job was to create an experience infrastructure that made large-scale medical data legible, actionable, and traceable—while ensuring compliance with GDPR, medical ethics protocols, and clinical research standards.

Gericke, a Swiss-German engineering leader in bulk material handling, engaged our team to redesign the touchscreen interface for its industrial filling systems. These systems are used across pharmaceuticals, food production, and chemical manufacturing, where dosage accuracy, contamination control, and operational traceability are paramount. The existing interface—developed over time through incremental technical updates—struggled to meet modern demands for usability, compliance, and cross-role accessibility.Our mandate was to reimagine the Human-Machine Interface (HMI) into a role-aware, safety-optimized, and scalable system that could serve both expert operators and temporary staff, across varying levels of automation and environmental constraints.This was not just a UI update—it was a mission-critical UX redesign for a regulated industrial environment, involving integration with proprietary PLC systems, real-time telemetry, and hazardous material handling protocols. The redesign had to reflect Gericke’s values of engineering precision and reliability, while reducing training time, minimizing human error, and enabling configuration flexibility across client-specific hardware installations.
