    Graphic design is a catch-all for everything we do, since most visual projects require it. We create brand identities, campaign identities and print and digital collateral for our clients. The best way to know what type of design work is right for your project starts with understanding the difference between concept and production design. Concept design happens when our design team develops the visual expression of a concept. We’ll work with you and our creative team to understand what you need to communicate, then we’ll dig deep, explore multiple visual directions and share the work that best represents our big ideas. Production design involves executing deliverables once a concept is already developed. These could be creating digital or print assets, exporting logos or files, providing brand guidelines or updating existing creative.

    We’ll start with a fact-finding workshop where we’ll ask you questions about your pain points, goals and audiences. Then we’ll follow up with a collaborative tactical brainstorm to discuss ways we can engage each of your audiences. After these sessions, and during our own internal brainstorms, we’ll put together a marketing strategy document that outlines your plan. A marketing strategy is often done in tandem with a brand platform or as part of a campaign. Your business can use email marketing to increase brand awareness, provide valuable content for your audiences, promote campaigns, move leads through the sales funnel or even remind people to check your website for updates. We’ll help create and deliver email communications that connects you with your audiences—right in their inboxes. There are many tactics you can use to improve your website’s SEO. We’ll help you address and implement on-site and off-site SEO tactics that will help drive traffic to your website, helping your audience find the solutions they’re looking for. If you’re not happy with your SEO performance, we can audit your current SEO practices and work toward optimizing your digital marketing efforts.

UpHouse was the agency behind the rebrand from the Western Retail Lumber Association to Supply-Build Canada. Our work included the brand name and logo development, the complete visual identity system and graphic design, internal change management tactics, and the animated logo and brand guidelines that were shown at brand reveal and awards gala on January 23. It’s rare to find an agency that feels like an in-house team and truly treats you as a partner. UpHouse was exceptional at listening, understanding our needs, and—by extension—the needs of our members. They guided us through the transition from a 135-year-old brand to our new identity as Supply-Build Canada, a strategic move that better positions us with government, prospective members, and educational institutions. I can’t recommend them highly enough!
