Dashboard for B2B tool

Gericke, a Swiss-German engineering leader in bulk material handling, engaged our team to redesign the touchscreen interface for its industrial filling systems. These systems are used across pharmaceuticals, food production, and chemical manufacturing, where dosage accuracy, contamination control, and operational traceability are paramount. The existing interface—developed over time through incremental technical updates—struggled to meet modern demands for usability, compliance, and cross-role accessibility.Our mandate was to reimagine the Human-Machine Interface (HMI) into a role-aware, safety-optimized, and scalable system that could serve both expert operators and temporary staff, across varying levels of automation and environmental constraints.This was not just a UI update—it was a mission-critical UX redesign for a regulated industrial environment, involving integration with proprietary PLC systems, real-time telemetry, and hazardous material handling protocols. The redesign had to reflect Gericke’s values of engineering precision and reliability, while reducing training time, minimizing human error, and enabling configuration flexibility across client-specific hardware installations.

Gexcon approached our team to modernize the user experience of their flagship CFD simulation platform, used globally for modeling gas dispersion, explosion risk, and fire safety in high-hazard industries such as oil &amp; gas, chemical manufacturing, nuclear energy, and maritime engineering.This was not a typical design project—it was a mission-critical redesign of a system used by engineers and safety authorities to prevent catastrophic accidents and optimize risk mitigation strategies. A single simulation run may model billions of particles interacting in real time with infrastructure geometries, atmospheric conditions, and emergency protocols.Our task: to bring clarity, confidence, and control to a software environment long governed by complex input parameters, legacy UI conventions, and fragmented workflows.To succeed, we needed to:Navigate multi-stakeholder governance across engineering, regulatory, and academic partnersHarmonize multi-platform simulation workflows from pre-processing to result visualizationIntegrate with legacy solvers, geometry engines, and safety standardsEstablish a scalable design system that adapts to future modules and regulatory requirementsThe outcome would affect not just usability—but life safety, regulatory compliance, and trust in Gexcon’s predictive capabilities.
