Die jährlichen Auszeichnungen und Zertifizierungen des Bundesverbandes Digitale Wirtschaft e.V. (BVDW) belegen, dass web-netz deutschlandweit eine Topadresse für Online-Marketing ist. Im Jahr 2019 hat web-netz wieder vier Qualitätszertifikate vom BVDW erhalten. Ausgezeichnet wurden die Bereiche Suchmaschinenoptimierung (SEO), Suchmaschinenwerbung (SEA), Affiliate-Marketing und Social Media Marketing. web-netz ist deutschlandweit die einzige Agentur, die das Social Media Marketing Zertifikat erhalten hat. Darüber hinaus ist web-netz offizieller Google Premium-Partner und zertifizierter Google AdWords Trainer. Als wissenschaftlicher Partner der Leuphana Universität lehren web-netz Mitarbeiter an der Uni und gemeinsam mit der Hochschule richtet web-netz jährlich im September die OMK in Lüneburg aus. Die OMK ist eine bundesweit anerkannte Online Marketing Konferenz mit Speakern aus Wissenschaft & Wirtschaft und bis zu 1500 Teilnehmern. Die Agentur wurde 2009 durch die Geschäftsführer Patrick Pietruck (Dipl.-Kfm.) und Sebastian Loock (M.Sc. & Dipl.-Ing.) gegründet. web-netz ist zu 100 Prozent eigenfinanziert, bildet aus und beschäftigt derzeit 120 Mitarbeiter.
