GeschichteWe started Designation in Munich in 2018 because we kept seeing the same problem: rich datasets that no one could truly use. From our first projects we focused on designing data products that speak to people — not just dashboards that collect dust. We learned to translate complexity into clear interactions, and to design paths through systems that previously felt intimidating. Today we work with international teams in technology, data science, industry, SMEs and software, helping them make data meaningful for real users. We still enjoy the challenge of taking messy data and turning it into products people trust and rely on every day.
