Project made for LinkedIn in the Others industry for a audience in 2022.Everyone knows LinkedIn. So, an introduction is not required. But did you know that The Orangeblowfish branded the 1,800 sqm office for LinkedIn Shanghai in 2020? Yes, we did! The work we did for LinkedIn Shanghai, was featured in Wallpaper, Kinfolk and several other design magazines. In 2021, we received another call from LinkedIn HQ to do the same for their Beijing office. The brief: Design an inspiring space that would boost creativity, communication, team collaboration and employee well-being. The Orangeblowfish has a solid track record for designing and branding office spaces that aim to stimulate creative thinking and communication, promote community building, and help employees find a sense of belonging. LinkedIn always tops the charts when it comes to designing creative working spaces. So, when we were called in for duty, we “linked-in” to the opportunity, of course.

Project made for Arc'teryx in the Clothing & Accessories industry for a B2C audience in 2022.Arc'teryx's System_A, is the brand’s vision of casual daily wear for a younger audience. Considered as the street-savvy alternative to the main Arc’teryx line, System_A blends outdoor technology with an urban aesthetic and uses GORE-TEX 3L fabric to provide waterproof and windproof outerwear. The 2022 Spring Summer collection is called Komorebi, the Japanese word for sunlight filtering through trees.Arc’teryx engaged The Orangeblowfish (a.k.a “TOBF”) to design an engaging retail pop-up and brand installation to help launch their latest collection of System_A.

Project made for Budweiser in the Beverage industry for a audience in 2020.As a long-time partner to the on-trade business in China, Budweiser recognized the challenge facing these bars, nightclubs and itself caused by COVID lockdown. Budweiser knew that they needed to take a leading role in helping the on-trade recover some of the lost income and remind consumers that Budweiser was and still is, the best accompaniment to their night out.Budweiser engaged TOBF to create an online to offline brand experience that would drive footfall and entice consumers to spend at Found 158, one of Budweiser’s premier venue partners in Shanghai.

Zodiac Bar: An Astrological Twist on Cocktails

Project made for Zodiac Bar in the Restaurants industry for a audience in 2021.Whilst Astrology is not science-based, for thousands of years, people have looked towards the stars for guidance and answers when they have needed it most. Your “star sign” is determined by where the sun, moon and planets were placed within the 12 astrological constellations was on your birthday.The bar’s owners who are completely obsessed with star signs approached The Orangeblowfish (TOBF) to develop a brand-new bar concept based around the zodiac for the opening of their new bar in Shanghai. Geo Valvieso, the brainchild behind the hand-crafted cocktails suggested to the bars owners that we would be the best agency for the job. By way of background, we have collaborated with Geo on a few projects before, such as The Broken Dagger and UP Shanghai and The Orangeblowfish won the Best Branding & Identity Award at the 2020 IN2SABRE APAC Award Ceremony for The Broken Dagger.

Project made for Moxy Xi'An (A Marriott Hotel) in the Travel & Leisure industry for a B2C audience in 2021.Moxy is a stylish and playful hotel brand delivering an unconventional hotel experience. Moxy targets travelers who are modern and edgy. Moxy has over 100 hotels in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.This Marriott brand targets millennials who want to be creative, have fun and love social. Those who know “How We Moxy” post their own special moments on social using the hashtag #atthemoxy.In 2021 Marriott Hotels launched Moxy in Hongqiao Shanghai. The China market was in demand for more unique experiences appealing to millennials. After opening Moxy’s first hotel in China, Marriott decided to open in more locations across the country. Marriott engaged The Orangeblowfish to be their Creative Partner for two of its locations in China – Xian and Nanjing.Moxy Xi'an opened on December 23, 2021 and is located in the Beilin district of Xi’an. Moxy Xi’an is the has a history of more than 3,100 years and is home first hotel of the Moxy brand in Northwest China. Xi’anto six cultural relics and historic sites on the UNESCO World Heritage list. While Moxy celebrates nonconformity, open-mindedness, and originality above all. Our biggest challenge was how can we maintainMoxy’s global DNA, whilst making it relevant to millennials in China? Especially in a city that has such a rich history.

Lorraine wanted a modern and inclusive brand that would reflect Inward’s core values.Inward is a global community-based platform founded in 2020 by Lorraine Lee. Inward encourages us to support each other while raising awareness and education around mental health. Mental health impacts everyone in different ways. Some feel anxiety, loneliness, isolation, trauma, and challenges to cope with daily life. Many who experience mental health may also feel ashamed about getting support. Mental health is a topic that affects everyone, and we should be able to talk about it openly.

Lounge by Topgolf is a new sports entertainment concept in Shanghai - where you can swing, sing and wing all in one! The Orangeblowfish Team led by Siu Tang did not disappoint! They heard us and understood our vision. From start till the end, there was never a dull moment working with them. You can feel The Orangeblowfish’s passion, synergy and enthusiasm for our project. The final design outcome was an impactful ‘WOW’ with visually exciting and fun interactive pieces. They were attractive not just to golf enthusiasts, but also those who have never tried golf - which is the aim of Topgolf!
