Purplewood (PW) is a brand marketing, behavior change communications & social-marketing consultancy. Setup in 2007, it currently operates out of Dhaka, Bangladesh. PW’s core team has worked together for 17 years and comprises vast experience and expertise in research, branding & marketing and creative arts. The team has country experience in Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and Kenya. At the global level, the agency is affiliated with Weber Shandwick and McCann Health. CLIENTS The agency’s past and present clients or partners include UNICEF, United Nations Foundation, Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves, AVC/USAID, SNV, Practical Action, Islamic Relief (Kenya), GIZ, BRAC, Social Marketing Company, Bangladesh-CCP etc. PW has also worked on brands like Ericsson (Bangladesh), New Zealand Dairy, Pan Pacific Hotels etc. SERVICES Purplewood provides a range of services to public and private sectors, NGO partners and development organizations. This includes research, planning and implementation functions for development and commercial projects. A mid-sized SBCC agency, Purplewood has unique, qualitative research capabilities and field-networks – insights from which, often cater to its projects. Forward integration is achieved in the form of PR, policy-advocacy, field-activation, community-mobilization and capacity-building functions.
