Branding agency for startups, scaleups and investors

Maker Street Studios is a branding agency in Newstead, Brisbane, working with startups, scaleups and investors across Australia and globally. Established in 2013 and led by Creative Director Casey Midgley, we build brands for the moments that matter: launching a new venture, outgrowing an early story, or getting ready to scale. We start with strategy (positioning, naming and messaging), then build the identity system that expresses it, and launch it across digital, motion, campaigns and wayfinding. A senior team works on every project from day one, and engagements typically run four to twelve weeks. There are four ways to work with us: project-based branding packs; Brand on Subscription, which lets startups build a full brand for a flat monthly fee; consulting for founders, executives and boards; and Maker Street Labs, our venture studio that partners for equity. Recent work includes Zolari Studios, Electric Island, Witzer, Claid and Cozee.

Our business is a little different to the norm, a start-up sports management consultancy. We needed someone that we firstly could have a relationship with but then could take our vision and build a brand that related to what we do day in, day out for our athletes, making them feel apart of a family they can grow with and they are a person rather than a number. The boys at Hatchet were able to not only achieve this they kicked it out of the park (pardon the pun). We are so happy with the outcome that the team achieved for us and can’t wait for what the future holds. Strongly recommend you chat to them today!

What Hatchet has taught me is how to understand the full power of what crafting an engaging brand can achieve for a business and then how that can be applied in our everyday advertising in a strategic out of the box way to achieve a much greater result. As we’re based in the UK any questions we have be it big or small are explained in a way that we can relate to and understand, even from the other side of the world. If you want top notch help in your advertising, branding and creative I strongly recommend reaching out and chatting with the team today!
