About us: Founded in 2010 by a former lawyer, Letter to Memphis is an audiovisual production agency based in Lyon and Paris. We create documentary films for the legal, craft, arts, and heritage professions — films driven by those who embody these skills daily. Our approach is direct, sensitive, and faithful to what happens on the ground. Our reason for being: We film those who do. We tell what drives them. A well-told story doesn't just convey a message: it influences perceptions, gives meaning to action, and engages its audience durably. In law as in crafts, every gesture, every word carries a story — we make it visible. The human at the heart of expertise Behind every law firm, every workshop, every company, there are individuals, commitments, and legacies. Our approach aims to reveal these often invisible human dimensions that give depth to professions. By highlighting the precision of a lawyer, the passion of a craftsperson, or the transmission of ancestral knowledge, we go beyond simple institutional communication to create a strong, sincere, and memorable identity. A visual and emotional approach A film is not limited to beautiful images. What matters is the harmony between what is shown and what is told. We seek a balance between clarity of message, appropriateness of tone, and aesthetic quality. This blend gives narratives their intensity and impact, whether explaining a legal reform or conveying the warmth of a workshop. Giving scope to what is told Whether it's explaining a complex legal framework or conveying the beauty of a craft gesture, a film can echo a lived experience, evoke an emotion, or simply make a voice more audible. Our work is to create this connection: between what is said, and what is remembered. Between know-how and making-known.

Qu'il s'agisse de films courts ou de format documentaire, de reportages, ou de plateaux, l'équipe met tout en œuvre pour que ses productions remplissent l'objectif pour lequel elles ont été produites, le tout dans une ambiance sereine. Nous couvrons vos événements et produisons after-movies, microtrottoirs, avec une attention particulière portée aux contraintes juridiques (droit à l'image et confidentialité des informations projetées). Qu'il s'agisse de films à vocation purement interne (conventions internes, team buildings...) ou de films destinés à être diffusés plus largement, nos réalisateurs sauront capter l'émotion de vos événements !
