High5Films is a Berlin-based film studio specializing in explainer videos and films for complex topics. Since 2009, we have translated science, technology, sustainability and change processes into animation, live action and hybrid films that people actually understand. Our clients include DFKI, Fraunhofer, KI-Campus, Deutsche Bahn and Deutsche Umwelthilfe. Some topics don't explain themselves. That's where we come in. High5Films develops and produces explainer videos and films for research institutions, public bodies, NGOs and companies with complex products, services or processes. Whether it's artificial intelligence, energy, environmental issues or a new workflow inside your organization, we find the story and the visual format that make your content clear. Our roots are in narrative filmmaking. Before specializing in explainers, our team made feature films, documentaries and commercials. That storytelling craft goes into every project: we think like journalists, write like filmmakers and design with care. Where it fits, we work with hand-drawn illustration instead of generic vector graphics, giving each film a distinctive, human look. We use AI selectively as a tool where it makes us faster or better, but every film starts with an original idea and is shaped by people, not templates. How we work We are a team of five and handle every project from the first concept to final post-production: briefing, research, script, storyboard, illustration, animation or shooting, voice-over, sound design and delivery in all required formats. One team, no friction between departments, which lets us genuinely get into your topic instead of just processing an order.
