StoryWe launched Detour in Utrecht in 2008 driven by a simple belief: strong ideas deserve to be seen. From day one we focused on visual communication, campaigning and illustration, learning to balance clarity with personality. Early projects taught us to turn tight briefs into bold visuals that cut through noise — often by stripping concepts back to a single compelling image. We’re still a studio at heart: collaborative, curious and hands-on. Campaign work sharpened our storytelling, illustration keeps our voice distinct, and visual communication ties it all together. Every brief is an invitation to rethink how people perceive an issue — and we love that challenge.
