Blackthumb sells Scandinavian homeware and gardening goods to American and Canadian consumers. Their products are manufactured in small studios by individual designers and reflect the simplicity and beauty of Scandinavian design.

Objective

Before they approached us, Blackthumb already had a website and a logo, but they wanted to offer more to their clients. The main objective of the website was to inspire the customer in their exploration of Scandinavian homeware and to give them an enjoyable online shopping experience.

Solution

We re-developed their branding strategy to better represent the Scandinavian lifestyle. The website we created showcases the brands, products and designers and makes an emphasis in elevating the creators of the pieces to be the central focus of attention. As the website is heavy on blogging, we also designed a lifestyle blog and a page that features their Instagram feed. The website uses woocommerce international e-commerce integration to create an engaging shopping experience where users can take advantage of the unique product range Blackthumb has to offer.

Studio Fitness is a hardcore, no-nonsense gym located near Lan Kwai Fong in Central, Hong Kong. If you go past Wyndham Street and hear loud music, it’s probably coming from Studio Fitness. Studio Fitness offers the toughest workouts in Hong Kong. The gym has vibe and intensity, a training ground where defeat is not an option.

Objective

Back in 2013, when they originally opened the gym, we built a site for them. In the last two years, they have consolidated their brand identity as a hardcore gym and they needed a website that reflected it. They commissioned a unique and vibrant website to give clients a taste of the Studio Fitness experience.

Our Solution

We created a clean, simple, on-brand website that lets the visitor get a feel for the gym. Users are motivated from the moment they open it with images of muscled instructors and motivational quotes like “Play hard, train harder”, “No limits”, and “Drop the nonsense”. The neon colors that dominate the website contrast with the diagonal black shapes, highlighting the bright workout environment and conveying the club-like setting of the gym. Technically, the diagonal grid was a challenge, but for our clients, we go the extra mile.

The French Chamber of Commerce contributes to developing and fostering economic, commercial and financial relations between France and Hong Kong. The Chamber of Commerce is a hub for industry leaders, decision-makers, students and anyone interested in collaboration in the French and Hong Kong communities.

Objective

The French Chamber of Commerce needed an online platform that would allow them to be a connecting agent for the community. The wanted to change their text-based, cluttered website for an easily navigable platform where people could effortlessly access publications and event information. They needed a communication tool that allowed users to seamlessly coordinate projects with the Chamber.

Solution

We built a modern, picture-based website with a straightforward access to the client portal, the member login and the events platform. The new website is fully integrated and synchronized with their custom built Client Relation Management system (CRM), giving them access to real-time information about all of their users. It has a friendly back-end that makes it easy for them to update information and keep users in the loop. The Chamber’s website is now a readily accessible platform and a must stop for entrepreneurs and large businesses thinking of breaking into the Asian market.
