Relatiegeschenken, branding en packaging in het Arabisch en Engels.
Clayit is een internationale brand- en eventstudio, gevestigd in de VAE en Jordanië, die werkt in het Engels en Arabisch. We nemen opdrachten aan waar de klant zich ook bevindt: briefings en feedback verlopen online, en drukwerk wordt als drukklare bestanden aangeleverd bij een lokale drukker. Het meeste van wat we maken wordt gedrukt, gemonteerd, uitgedeeld of gepasseerd, wat discussies over de vraag of een ontwerp af is meestal snel beslecht. Je werkt rechtstreeks met de twee oprichters, niet met een accountmanager. Farah Khatib leidt design en events. Ze werkte meer dan zeven jaar bij Al Masaood en groeide daar door tot Senior Graphic Designer en Events Manager. Ze leidde er een designteam, bewaakte de merkrichtlijnen binnen de verschillende activiteiten van de groep en ontwierp het logo voor het vijftigjarig jubileum. Ziyad Urabi leidt marketing. Hij was tien jaar Marketing Manager bij Dimlaj Group. In die periode realiseerden dimlaj.com en de socialmedia-accounts van de groep in één jaar meer dan AED 2 miljoen aan e-commerceverkopen in de VAE. Zo werken we: voordat we iets tekenen, zoeken we naar de ene beslissing die de rest bepaalt. Meestal is dat een kleur, een module of één key visual. We bouwen die op de schaal waarop de kans het grootst is dat ze niet werkt — een naamkaartje of een favicon — en schalen daarna op. Niets wordt verstuurd voordat het is gedrukt, gemonteerd of getest in een browser. Alles wat niet kan worden gecontroleerd, is een mening, en meningen zijn geen opleveringen. Beschrijving Corporate and personalised gifts, and the packaging they arrive in. We design employee welcome gifts, client gift boxes and branded gift sets as one piece with your brand: the object, the box, the sleeve, the card and the carrier bag. For Al Masaood's Go Green campaign, the employee welcome gift and the tote bag carried the same mark as the posters. For Al Wafaa Dates, one hand-drawn emblem became the pattern on gift boxes, pouches, tins and wrapping paper. For Al Wafaa Dates, a Medjool grower in the Jordan Valley, we built the brand on one line, the lowest place on earth grows the highest grade of date, drew the emblem and the square Kufic wordmark by hand, and turned the emblem into a pattern for every pack. For Twentis, an online electronics retailer, the identity and the storefront were one job. You leave with guidelines your own team can apply without calling us. It starts with one key visual made to survive a dozen sizes, then we design everything the room needs: stage screens and animated openers, media walls, signage, invitations, agendas, name tags and table flags. For Al Masaood's Masaood 2.0 launch, one image of the group's monogram standing in still water carried the day, from a 3 by 2 metre media wall down to a name holder the width of a hand. Farah Khatib managed events in-house at Al Masaood before Clayit, so the files are built for how events actually get produced: supplier specs, print deadlines and set-up day. Bilingual work is where we are strongest. On the fifth edition of Al Masaood's corporate magazine, English runs left to right on one page and Arabic right to left on the facing page, meeting at the gutter, so neither reads like a translation of the other. For Agrimatco we designed an 80 page product catalogue for their fertilizer range, with a coloured band on the edge of every page that tells you which range you are in before you have read a word. A project can be as small as one logo, like the 55 Years badge we drew for Al Masaood with three concepts and three rounds of revisions, or as complete as a full identity. For Al Wafaa Dates we drew the emblem and a square Kufic wordmark by hand. For Twentis, an online electronics retailer, we set the construction on a grid and showed which variations are allowed. Where a name needs Arabic, we draw it rather than typeset it. For Al Masaood's Go Green campaign we drew six posters, one of them a fish skeleton built out of single use cutlery, then carried the same mark onto office screens, recycling bins, tote bags and stationery. We design and build on Shopify, Wix Studio or custom code, and Arabic gets its own right-to-left layout. The work covers page structure planned around what the visitor came to do, product and collection pages, booking and enquiry flows, WhatsApp and lead forms, mobile and speed checks, and the SEO groundwork so Google can read the site from launch. Recent work includes the live site for Leaders Production, an events production company working out of Dubai and Riyadh, and the site for Grace Movement, a ladies only dance community in Dubai.
