De naam “Beldi”, wat “authentiek” of “lokaal” betekent in het Arabisch, is meer dan een label — het belichaamt de geest, identiteit en waarden van onze coöperatie. Het weerspiegelt onze diepe toewijding aan: Authenticiteit : We vertellen verhalen die geworteld zijn in de verhalen van echte mensen, echte plaatsen en echte ervaringen. Onze inhoud eert de dagelijkse realiteit, worstelingen en schoonheid van het lokale leven — zonder exotisering of vervorming. Elk project streeft ernaar gemeenschappen met waardigheid, nuance en waarheid te vertegenwoordigen. Nabijheid : Als een gemeenschapsgerichte coöperatie werken we van binnenuit. Onze aanpak is gebaseerd op vertrouwen, samenwerking en langdurige betrokkenheid bij de mensen en plaatsen die we filmen. Wij geloven dat betekenisvolle inhoud voortkomt uit gedeelde ruimtes en geleefde relaties. Empowerment : We streven ernaar zichtbaarheid en een stem te geven aan degenen die vaak worden uitgesloten van dominante mediaverhalen — met name vrouwen, jongeren, plattelandsbevolking en de positieve mannelijkheidsbeweging. Door gemeenschappen rechtstreeks te betrekken bij het vertelproces, maken we media tot een instrument voor expressie, inclusie en autonomie.
