Hello, we are Tigers Moscow, or simply TM. We are strategic design consultancy (aka branding) based in Moscow as you might get from the naming. Evidently, majority of our projects are for Russian companies and startups. Especially startups — it’s our passion. Diving into specifics of emerging businesses, we developed three principals we use for every branding project regardless it is startup or not. Because they just work beautifully:

Most brands are more dead than alive, as people do not think of a brand apart from purchasing moment, they have no need to interact with it, brand does not play valuable part of everyday life. Using UGB philosophy we build brands that can live its own life, generating new occasions and interactions with people. In this narrative brand plays role of a myth that can be interpreted in a million ways depending on the interpreter.
minimum viable guidelines
Startups live in MVP mode, always changing and correcting mistakes on a way, that’s why we create brands and identities that are not carved in stone, but have enough plasticity to change along with business and new releases. We call it minimum viable guidelines. This is also relevant to big corporate brands, as MVP lifestyle becomes more and more common practice to different brands and businesses.

We strongly believe that truly beautiful and resonating ideas arise as the result of marriage between concrete knowledge like experience, analytics, expertise and abstract — stroke of genius, intuition and inspiration.
Everyday we aim to use both aspects of human genius — when all data is collected we're chasing for afflatus until we catch it and vice versa. Creating of beauty is rather spontaneous process without guaranteed result, but when there's a will, there's a way. That's why we always encourage our team players to search for beauty not only drawing on expertise, but everywhere — inside, outside and beyond.

Delo - brandingMarch 2018
Delo - branding
Introducing new federal digital startup bank for entrepreneurs, for those who are not building big businesses, but using Russian colloquial language are doing ‘delo’ (from Russian ‘дело’ — work of life, more than just occupation including many more other meanings).
Delo for micro and small businesses is all about passion, love, drive, never ending making and doing, something very close and dear to entrepreneurs’ hearts. When you’re doing delo, you’re swiping your toggle button to ‘delo’ mode.
Startup raised necessary investments for launch and support of the whole infrastructure and federal marketing.
Product app and desktop version got into the list of top-5 banks for entrepreneurs according to Markswebb rating.
Developed MVG keeps satisfying ours and clients expectations. Project is now passed to numerous agencies (communication, media, research etc.), that are briefed with our strategy and keep contributing to new MVG release.
Alfred - brandingMarch 2018
Alfred - branding
New startup with disruptive business model built on deep insight ‘local Russian car services — are pain which no one wants to experience’. Alfred is a friendly messenger service that takes all the stress from communication with car services on itself. Just PM Alf in messenger, he will come and take your car to the best car service, will check everything for you, and once the car is ready Alfred will bring it back. For Tigers Moscow team it was the first case to test its new methodology: strategic-creative pairs, user generated branding and minimum viable guidelines. Together with client we defined our TA’s key barrier — absence of trust and no formulated need in service. Our main objective was to define the category service is related to. We decided to endow new category with easy-to-understand markers from contiguous categories — ‘car service’ and ‘concierge service’.
This is how positioning ‘first car concierge service’ has appeared. Next key step in our strategy was to understand how to take advantage from the experience brand gives from the very first relation — which
is the most valuable experience for the startup. We decided to create client-centric platform with personification and developed name ‘Alfred’ and personalized brand platform.
Startup has successfully passed two rounds of funding. Among Alfred’s investors there are some of the biggest Russian companies.
SCP, MVG and UGB Tigers methodology was successfully tested and implemented for further projects.
As part of MVG process basing on feedback from the market we have updated several times brand platform and visual guidelines to make brand even more appealing.
JU - brandingMarch 2018
JU - branding
JAMI is one of the top Russian digital communication groups. JAMI data strategists every week used to present new best digital ad cases on internal all agency meeting called Digital Update. Aiming to expand beyond agency and become sound product for client’s marketing teams and important contributor to JAMI image, it was decided to launch Update 2.0, including workshops every 2 weeks opened for all market specialists and public telegram channel sharing updates every day. Tigers Moscow were invited to rebrand Digital Update through the lens of distinctive positioning, naming and identity.
TM proposed to bring into the spotlight product essence, which is all about the process of constant update of the most tangible data from the world of communication, digital, technologies and strongly link brand with master brandin order to increase positive impact on JAMI image.
We also dove into the meaning of what updating process means. Great metaphor came from famous Japan Zen buddhism koan which told the story of Nan-in, Zen master and his guest, who wondered what Zen is. Making long story short the wizard showed that only by emptying your cup
of tea you can fill it with new tea and update your knowledge. Following Zen motto ‘Empty you cup’ we formulated brand strategy and identity. Identity also is rooted in master brand’s style constants, such as ‘glitch’ effect.

Newly born Moscow based media agency, part of JAMI, the biggest local Russian communication groups. Laconic came up with simple and clear idea — media agencies have a very complex and hard to comprehend product with huge amount of giant tables and numbers, why need to overload client’s heads?
Laconic decided to design infrastructure that would convert complex process into simple result. Tigers Moscow brought to life brilliant business concept through naming, strategy and identity.
